We are happy to share that VDA received funding to support our research.

We have been increasing our collaboration with the new Allen Institute for Cell Science in Seattle, WA, USA. Specifically, we are exploring the option to make 3D modeling and exploration of cells accessible to a broad audience over the web, from biologists to teachers to students. Our funds allow the development of some prototypes and the travel and research stay for a few weeks at the Allen Institute for Cell Science. Magdalena Schwarzl is the main researcher on this project.

We are also happy to announce that our collaborative project "imProve — Managing the Health Product Development" was accepted for funding by the Wirtschaftsagentur Wien, Call "User in Focus 2016". In this project, we will look into innovative ways of how simulation and visualization can better support the process of introducing new medical products into the market. The project will be led by the dwh GmbH, and Michael Sedlmair will lead the subprojects hosted at the University of Vienna.
