The present master thesis describes a blended-learning system for railroad signals as part of the railroad engineer training. The system should comply with the following requirements: support the acquisition of joined-up knowledge, nurture joy of learning, increase motivation and present a user and operation friendly layout. The theoretical foundation for learning comprises topics such as memory, theory of learning, practices, didactics, syllabus, motivation and self-teaching, which were described in the introduction. Emphasis was given that only a meaningful use of individual teachings can lead to a successful outcome. Hence, the created blended-learning system consists of a face-to-face and an online training. The face-to-face training was conducted on 25th July 2020. After this, the online training could be accessed by the trainees and included the aspects of association, intensification and perfection. An evaluation, including a questionnaire and interview, was conducted at the end to assess whether the created system fulfils the above listed requirements.
