UNIVIE Research Awards for Students 2025/2026
The research awards aim to highlight the research achievements of outstanding students.
The prize money is intended to enable students to actively participate in international academic conferences.
What is Funded
The awards cover travel expenses for students attending academic conferences. In the case of journal publications, other publication costs or participation in a conference without presenting a publication may also be funded. The exact prize amount depends on the costs incurred. Approximately five awards can be granted per year.
Selection Criteria
The selection process considers the individual contribution of the student, the ranking of the conference, and the promotion of participation by underrepresented groups in the academic community as key criteria.
Timeline
- Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Students can apply together with their supervisors. Please use the submission form for this purpose. Send the completed form along with the research contribution (paper, if available) to » Claudia Plant.
- The jury, consisting of students and teaching staff, will decide on the award recipients.
- The awardees will be honored at the faculty's summer party or Christmas celebration.
