Austrian Computer Science Day
The Austrian Computer Science Day took place in 2024 at the Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Vienna, making it part of the faculty's anniversary celebrations. The event was established in 2012 to showcase research in Austria and provide computer scientists with networking opportunities. In 2024, the ACSD focused on the topic "Networks in Artificial Intelligence".
In addition to lectures and discussions, PhD students presented their research projects in a 1-minute overview talk during the "Young Experts: Minute Madness" session. Newly appointed professors had the opportunity to present themselves and their research in the 'New Professors Session'. The Austrian Computer Society (OCG) also awarded scholarships for outstanding diploma and master's theses and the Heinz Zemanek Prize for excellent dissertations. » View the program
