Informatik-Postdocs haben die Möglichkeit sich bei einem von 4 Supervisor*innen an unserer Fakultät für ein MSCA- Postdoctoral Fellowship zu bewerben. Das MSCA-PF ist ein postdoktorales Forschungs- und Ausbildungsprogramm, bei dem Stipendiaten zusätzliche Fähigkeiten und Fertigkeiten durch die Arbeit an einem spezifischen Forschungsprojekt in einem neuen Umfeld erwerben und gleichzeitig ihr Wissen innerhalb der fördenden Einrichtung Weitergeben. Das Stipendium hat eine klar definierte, zweijährige Karrierephase.

    Research Focus:

  • Research in the area of Entertainment Computing. This includes AI for computer games, automatic NPC steering behavior   generation, GANs for computer games (textures, faces), real-time physics simulation, game engine architecture and technologies (multithreading support with job systems, data oriented architectures, Entity Component Systems, lockless parallel data structures), machine learning for video compression and actor control. Application of computer games, serious games and storytelling, gamer experience and immersion, playful consumption experiences, games with an impact.

    Research Focus:
    Machine learning with a focus on probabilistic models:

  • Probabilistic models for combinatorial objects (mainly sets, but also graphs)
  • Variational approaches for generative models (e.g., variational autoencoders)
  • Active information acquisition and Bayesian experimental design
  • Exploration in reinforcement learning
  • Inverse reinforcement learning
