ENTER_DAY
Every year, the Faculty of Computer Science hosts ENTER_DAY, an orientation event for first-year students in the Bachelor’s programmes.
What's happening on the day?
Director of Studies Martin Polaschek provides helpful information and useful tips on the structure and organization of the Bachelor’s programme.
In addition, the mentoring programme and the Students' Representatives (StV & FV Informatik) will be introduced. The latter will be at work assisting our first-year students on this day, offering advice and support with course registration and organizing the ENTER_Grillen in the courtyard.
The orientation event (Course No. 050000) also takes place as part of ENTER_DAY. No registration is required!
ENTER_DAY 2026 takes place on September 30th. Details will be announced in due time.
Last year's schedule offers an idea on what to expect:
- 10:00 AM Welcome by the Dean (HS 1)
- 10:15 AM The Bachelor’s Programme: A Guide with the Director of Studies (HS 1)
- 11:30 a.m. Introduction to the Students' Representatives & Mentoring Team (HS 1)
- Starting at 12:00 p.m. ENTER_Grillen (courtyard)
- 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Late registration for courses with the Students' Representatives (computer labs)
An ENTER_DAY for master's students is held the same day. More information on the schedule will be found here in due time.
Mentoring & networking
Connecting with other students is often a key factor in a successful academic journey.
Take advantage of ENTER_DAY, our free mentoring programme, and the regular offers and events offered by the Student's Representatives to connect with new and established students alike. Get advice or form study groups to help you get a solid footing during the initial phase of your studies.
Accessibility
Students with disabilities are often inadequately informed about available support options, while students without disabilities have no understanding of “students with disabilities” and the challenges they face in their daily academic lives.
To break down barriers on both sides, the university offers a range of information resources. Please contact the Accessibility Team with any personal concerns.
