Recommended path of study: Bachelor Computer Science
In addition to training in the core areas of Computer Science, the Computer Science degree programme offers the opportunity to explore various specializations within the elective subjects group, specifically in the following areas (clusters):
Algorithms - Computer Graphics - Data Analysis - Information Management & Systems Engineering - Internet Computing & Software Technologies - Medical Informatics - Digital Media Technologies - Networks - Parallel Computing and Security
At the beginning of each cluster, there is a gatekeeper course, which is a requirement for receiving credit for further courses in the cluster. For more information, see the overview of all clusters on u:find ↗.
Optionally, students may also complete a concentration if they take courses from the required clusters to the specified extent. A successfully completed concentration must be applied for at the SSC upon graduation and may be listed on the diploma.
The semester plan shown is not mandatory. It represents the recommended study path, as applied by the faculty in accordance with the allocation principle for courses with continuous assessment.
This recommendation already takes into account any dependencies between courses as well as the range of courses on offer in the winter or summer semester. It is assumed that your studies will begin in the winter semester.
