New Tenure-Track Professorship for the field of Management of Massive Data

The Faculty of Computer Science is looking for outstanding computer scientists with a research focus on the management of massive data, which is documented by publications in top venues in machine learning, data mining and/or database research.

Examples for research topics of interest are (not limited to) high-performance data mining and machine learning methods in distributed and parallel environments, indexing and scalable techniques for similarity search, analysis methods for distributed or heterogeneous data sources, techniques for the analysis of high-dimensional data, management and analysis of high-throughput data streams.

Further topics of interest include, e.g., web mining and the analysis of other very large networks and application-oriented approaches to mining massive data, e.g., in biomedicine.

Close interaction with DataScience@UniVienna, an interdisciplinary research platform between several faculties of the University of Vienna, is expected.
