Kurt Gödel’s Legacy: Does the future lie in the past?

The Kurt Gödel Society cordially invites all interested parties to the 70th anniversary of Kurt Gödel's pioneering publication as well as to the 100th anniversary of the crucial experimental proof of General Theory of Relativity at the University of Vienna from 25 to 27 July 2019.

The mathematician, logician and philosopher Kurt Gödel and his theories that continue to exist in science will be commemorated in 2019 at the event "Kurt Gödel's Legacy: Does the Future Lie in the Past?" At this event, the most famous researchers from the fields of mathematics, physics, philosophy and artificial intelligence will meet. There will also be an exhibition on Kurt Gödel's life and work as well as talks.

The following speakers are expected: Markus Aspelmeyer, John D.Barrow, Charles L. Bennett, David Bennett, George F.R. Ellis, Julia Floyd, Georg Gottlob, Jan von Plato, Wolfgang Schleich, Marika Taylor, Toby Walsh, Nobel laureate Rainer Weiss and Palle Yourgrau. Dana Scott is the honorary chairman of the conference.

The event will take place from 25 to 27 July 2019 at the University of Vienna in the Main Ceremonial Chamber.
